Why Sphere Chairs are better than Bean Bag Chairs

When it comes to inexpensive chairs to lounge in, there are lots of choices.  Large department stores are full of cheap folding camp chairs, and there are a whole host of other choices.  The problem is that not all of these chairs are good for really relaxing in.  In times past, the bean bag chairs were wildly popular.  It seemed like they were pretty much a fixture in any kids’ or teenagers’ bedroom.  Times have changed though, and there are things like sphere chairs that offer more support and greater comfort than the bean bags.
The first reason why bean bags aren’t that great comfort-wise is because they lack any support structure whatsoever.   These chairs just sit limply on the ground, and the small “beans” that fill it just move around freely.  While they might be ok at first, after a while the weight of your body will push the beans away, and you will quickly find yourself sitting on the hard ground without much back support.  If you want to have any support on your neck or head, you pretty much have to lie down on the bean bag!

They are positioned so that you can rest your upper body, yet still sit upright enough to do things like reading a book, watching TV, or even using your laptop computer.
Finally, if you are concerned at all about how your chair is going to fit into your living room, it makes a lot more sense to get a sphere chair.  The reason why is because it looks a bit funny to have something like a bean bag chairbean bag chair sitting on the ground next to elevated furniture like sofas, loveseats, or recliners.  In addition, bean bags scream of a style that was popular in the 1980’s.  Putting a nice sphere chair in the living room will add a touch of style and color.  That said, it is important to note that there are plenty of ugly sphere chairs out there as well.  Cheap sphere chairs may be great for camping or the backyard, but if you are going to use it in the living room it is wise to get one that is a bit nicer.  While the cheap ones will only set you back $40 or so, expect to pay double this amount or more for a great looking microfiber sphere chair with a thick cushion.  Finally, the high end chairs are also referred to by other names, like the Papasan chair or Roundabout chair.
